Developments

The 900 acres of land that we own are in both Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire. Much of the airport site was removed from the Green Belt through the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Structure Plan in 2003, and continues to be safeguarded for development in the longer term. The Marshall Group has committed to the continued operation from the Cambridge site of both the airport and the Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group businesses for the foreseeable future. Over £20 million has been invested in the runway, taxiways and other infrastructure to enable their continued success. In the meantime, the property business is working hard to develop those areas of our land holdings that can contribute to much needed housing and infrastructure to support the growth of Cambridge, whilst maintaining the safe operation of the airport.

The Marshall Group is committed to ensuring a positive legacy from the development of our land. It will be our back garden for many years to come. How it looks, how it feels, how people live and work there is extremely important to us and we will work hard to ensure they are developments of which we can be proud.
